We’re pleased to announce a new collaboration between KidsX and Solutions for Patient Safety (SPS), focused on advancing pediatric health outcomes and patient and employee safety through innovation. By bringing together our shared networks and a mutual commitment to improving pediatric care, we are working together to launch a Patient Safety Innovation Challenge.
This program is designed to support the journey toward zero harm by advancing early-stage digital health and AI solutions that address critical patient and employee safety challenges. The challenge will create opportunities for innovators, clinicians, and problem-solvers to develop and test solutions that can drive meaningful improvements in pediatric care.
Anne Lyren, MD, Chief Medical and Strategy Officer of Solutions for Patient Safety, shared, “KidsX brings a unique ability to connect hospitals with innovators who are ready to solve real-world problems. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to advancing practical, scalable solutions that support care teams and reduce serious harm for pediatric patients. By working together, we can move promising ideas more quickly from concept to impact.”
Omkar Kulkarni, founder and managing director of KidsX, added, “This partnership represents a powerful opportunity to leverage innovation to drive improvements in pediatric patient safety. Through the collaboration between KidsX and SPS, we can accelerate solutions that protect patients and caregivers, ultimately driving meaningful improvements in pediatric health outcomes.”
Solutions for Patient Safety (SPS) is a collaborative of more than 150 children’s hospitals working together to eliminate serious health care associated harm through shared learning, evidence-based practices, and coordinated improvement efforts.
